We played a game on the drive home from work yesterday. Add up all the numbers on the carplate (of a car in front of us) Fastest correct answer wins.
Think most people have played this before, but in case you haven't, here's how it works -
Eg : Carplate SHA 3283 M
3 + 2 + 8 + 3 = 16
16 --> 1 + 6 = 7
So 7 is the answer.
I tried to cheat a little, I admit. I will do the mental sums for a certain car first, and then point the car to him "ok, red car!" and pause 2 seconds and give my answer triumphantly. Hahah.
So anyway, after a few rounds of this, I asked him, what if eg : 3283 add up will be 7... but what if the rules are different, 32 + 83, then how... will the answer still be 7?
He did a few carplates then, and strangely all the numbers added up to 9.
In a truly stupid moment, I said, "baba, maybe all numbers if you add up kan, the answer will be 9 eh." Of course at that moment I felt like it was SUCH a brilliant observation.
He looked over at me and said, "mummy. 1 + 7 is not 9. 1 + 2 is not 9." He laughed then, and said "you can be such a bimbo sometimes eh??" Hahahahahah. I was SO embarassed and yet I found it so funny I laughed til I cried seh.

He got his bimbo moment at night though.
The kids were asleep, and we were both sitting at the living room table - him drinking coffee and me eating strawberries with nutella.
Suddenly he said, "I think I wanna sell this house and buy condo ah. We just buy a small condo, 2 rooms punya kind lah."
I was a bit surprised... pleasantly surprised, I gotta admit. Since when we so atas til want to stay in condo seh, hahah! He added, "We really shouldn't stay in such a big house. I wanna downgrade and get a small space je. Who are we to stay in a house with so much space."
(Mind u, we are staying in a 4A je tau.)
I was thoroughly confused by then. I asked him where is this big house you talking about? He said our current house lah.
Then u wanna downgrade? He said yeah.
I was still so confused then, I asked him "To a condo? U wanna downgrade from a HDB to a condo???"
He looked confused for a moment, and laughed, "a'ah eh.... I meant a smaller space lah, coz condo kan kecik. Tak terpikir pulak condo is more expensive eh actually...hahaha"
Hahaha, what's a male bimbo huh?? Himbo?? -__-
