Great deals and all that.
I have this thing about birthdays. I love them lavish and totally celebratory and all that. I LOVE getting presents and I LOVE spending time finding gifts for my loved ones, wrapping them up, and the best part is looking at the glee on their faces when they receive a present that they love.
Actually even if they don't love it, it's ok. Who cares. Hahaha.
For my birthday this year, I got presents that I really love. To return the favour to my husband, as thanks for the Bali trip, I wanted to bring him on a trip for HIS birthday.
Somewhere near lah. Because the next trip that requires quite a considerable amount of moooolah is in August, Insha'Allah.
Speaking of mooooolah, you all gotta hear my baby go mooo. It's the cutest thing on earth.

Anyway. I googled up weekend getaways to Bintan, Batam and Tg Pinang. Goodness, so exp lah, no thank you. Around SGD300 for a pathetic room with garden view, that's daylight robbery lah.
So I googled up weekend stays in Ritz Carlton, and Fullerton. Still exp. $300++ for a night stay in Singapore, might as well I add a bit more and go Bintan.
No, might as well spend a
bit more and go Bali and stay at O-ce-n!
And then I suddenly remembered Hyder's love for aeroplanes. Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. He can sit facing aeroplanes 24 hours straight, haha.
And here I have to share the good news. There's this Great Asia Sale going on apparently, which I wasn't aware of, and staying at Crowne Plaza costs only SGD151/night!
Wanted to book, and surprise the husband and all that, but I was quite hesitant because oh Bintan beckons so alluringly. I mean, you add a bit more and you get to go overseas (albeit near, but who's counting the miles)
So I asked my husband, the man with all the answers (hehe) and he said, "let's save the money for the August trip instead."
So yeah. There goes my weekend stay. I agree with him though... it's just that it's kindof hard to let go of such a good deal.
And that is why I'm sharing it with you all. The only problem is, you gotta book by end of today... but who knows if they extend it eh.
Good luck, and if you do end up staying there, do invite us over!
