My babyboy is sick with fever (38.5deg this morning) and a veryvery phlegmy throat. I am on halfday today to take care of him, and have told my colleagues I might be MIA tomorrow too, if things don't get better.
We are bringing him to the paeditrician's tonight (or as Kak Su insisted, this afternoon, without my husband - "berdikari sikit Shida!") But I'm panicky. Right now all my mind is doing is screaming at the top of its lungs (if minds have lungs) "HELP ME AND MY BABY!!!" while running around aimlessly. It's tragic like that, but I can't help it. I get panicky when my baby is not in good shape :(
One of my colleagues suggested we bring him to KKH. We did call KKH last night (really helpful service btw - 1900KKNURSE (1900 5567883)) and the nurse said monitor his behaviour and diet... if he's eating well and running around, and fever is subsiding, then it's ok. But if he's terribly weak, then go clinic asap.
But now my mom said he's watching Elmo on TV, and eating bread. So should be ok? I tell ya, parenting is a big headache. Haha.
My colleague's daughter was admitted to KKH because they were scared the phlegmy throat is a sign of bronchitis. I get freaked out listening to stories like this... so I'm not sure now - paedi? or straight to KKH?
We'll update more about mystrongbabyboy soon.
