Talks and such.

Yesterday was quite hectic, in the sense that there was suddenly many activities that needs to be done... namely soccer, and a talk by Shaykh Yahya Rhodus at Still Road that we wanted to attend.

The thing was that they kindof clashed, soccer was at 5 til 7 and the talk starts at 8. So Husband played only for the first half, and came home bathed and then we cabbed our way there.

The talk by Shaykh Yahya was quite hard to understand honestly, and halfway thru, Hyder started crying, so I went outside so as not to disturb people. After Shaykh Yahya, Shaykh Khalil Moore did a talk also, which I think Husband found interesting and really touching.

Honestly I didn't get much from the talks, as Hyder was abit cranky (still coughing) and there was a kid there who snatched all the toys that he was playing with.

A note here which I would like to share with all parents who bring their kids to talks. I'm sure you guys, like me, want our kids to grow up in masjids and all that, and I'm seriously ok with kids running around and such.

BUT, if your kid makes another kid cry, please take your kid away. Please come and carry your kid from wherever they are at, so that the kid that they are bullying can stop crying.

I'm sorry if this is harsh, but last night there was a kid who snatched all of Hyder's toys, and my boy started crying, and I couldn't possibly scold that kid right? So I looked over at his mom, and she just smiled at me! (In her defense, she did apologise at the end when I was quite upset when Hyder was screaming his head off outside)

Sorry, this is just something for all of us to take note of lah. Maybe the obvious solution would be NOT to bring our kids, but sorry I want my son's brain to absorb as much as he can from these talks, even though he might be a bit too young to understand.

Anyway, Shaykh Yahya Rhodus still has a talk tomorrow. I might be going with my colleagues, so Insya'Allah see you there if you are going!

We had dinner at OohLaLa after that, which wasn't that nice but what to do. I think last orders that's why it wasn't that great? Haha.

Takder kerja, sempat phototaking sikit. Haha. Right after this, Hyder puked and we had to change his whole outfit, and then we cabbed our way home.
