This and that and everything else.
I love the post that my husband wrote, titled 'Numbers'. My anger towards these FOREIGN TALENTS is getting a bit overwhelming, haha, all thanks to blogs like
this and also Straits Times forum board.
I've long felt irritated with the state of living in SG, and have always wanted to get out of here before Hyder starts schooling, so that he can have a chance of a normal life. Whatever a normal life means... a nonstressed up life where getting A's is not that important, where paying half a million for a shoebox to live in is abnormal.
I have nothing against these foreign TALENTS (pui, what talents??) but I fear for my son - will he get a place in school that he wants, seeing that PRs also get the same priority as S'poreans? Will our jobs be safe, seeing that filipinos are cheaper? Can we afford a house in the future?
It's a sense of urgency, to get out of this place before it corrodes us further, HAHAHA.
We tried to change the address on our NRIC just now - went down to a police post, but their printer was spoilt, so they told us to go ICA.
ICA worker was damn slow, and said our letter (to show that we are really owners of the house) was overdue.. they only wanted something within 3 months. I brought along a letter from HDB stating that we bought the house, and she said cannot, it's dated September 2008. What the hell. I told her "umm hello, what can be further proof than this? And she said all letters or bills have to be within 3 months."
This is proof of idiocy at its best. Hahahahaha. Hate these stupid UNTHINKING govt workers.
Anyway, we went to Hjh Maimunah to eat our sorrows away, HAHA. Suddenly only left 2 lovely old makciks behind the counter. Even my favourite makcik was gone. Replaced by 3 minahs, who I was hoping WON'T be serving me, coz in my experience, minahs are usually irritating people who CANNOT work in frontline positions.
I was right. You know the usual procedure in Hjh Maimunah is to say "2 orang makan, lauk hidang please"
And then the makcik will say ok, and grab some plates? Even when they are in a hurry, they aren't rude.
This stupid
$%^ (wow this lack of vulgarities is making me ITCH to type some out, coz I feel so pissed off) bacin idiot of a server said "Saya nak tahu LAUK apa awak nak. LAAAAUUUUK." She stressed on that and rolled her eyes.
BASTERO BITCH.
If I don't tell you there's 2 of us, how do you know how much to serve? Even if I was stupid and didn't know you were asking what laaaauuuuk I wanted, you working as frontline staff had no right to be rude. If you hate your job so much, go work elsewhere.
I told my husband "wow, that's rude" and I think she heard, coz she started being bitchier and started scooping food haphazardly. In the end I had to repeat to another makcik that I wanted rice for 2. STUPID IDIOT MINAH. In case you want to check out who she is, it's the one with dyed hair tied up, and red huge earrings today.
Slap her face on my behalf, if you are very daring ok? Haha.
Let's end this post on a good note. Here's a picture of us on Hari Raya 2nd day.

Haha, I do not know how it's a good thing, but yeah tengok jer lah. I miss my son sooooooooo much. He loves muruku btw, and all sorts of keropok, and even spicy ones. Like his Baba ah, can tahan benda pedas2. And now he loves to merajuk and face a wall (sometimes with arms crossed! HAHAHAHA) and ignore us when he call his name. And gives names to all his pillows. And loves "anggo!" (mango concentrate with cold water) And loves teasing me when I teach him about colours. SO GERAM NAK GIGIT DIA.
I hate that we all have to work such long hours in Singapore. We spend more time with our colleagues than with our family :(
ps - WOWOW. Just found out my husband keeps track of my period dates on his work calender! I'm SO impressed! Hahaha.
