Went to India for holiday, which consists of 3 states which is Delhi, Agra & Jaipur.. they call it the Golden Triangle Tour.

Went to Jamma Masjid. The biggest masjid in India. Fell in love with the interiors of the masjid. Inside each masjid in India, there is a big water pool for ablution, and on one corner of the masjid there are a huge group of pigeons eating and drinking water.

I realised one thing, Masjids with great history will have lots of pigeons. For example, Masjid Haji Salleh/Maqam Habib Noh at Singapore, New Mosque at Istanbul, Turkey, Jamma Masjid at Kashmir, India and also Jamma Masjid which i mentioned earlier. Why so? Any explanation?

Taj Mahal one of the man-made wonders of the world. Shah Jahan is one of the most romantic persons I've ever heard of. His story is even better than Shakespears' novel. Haha. Really.

He loved his wife so much then he made Taj Mahal just to bury his wife there. Taj Mahal can be seen from his palace just so he could see her everytime he misses her. He created the Minaret on 4 corners all of it, slanting outwards just so if a earthquake were to happen, it won't fall onto his beloved wife's grave. So on so forth.

I would love to do the same for my wife's tomb too, but I don't want her to die before me, and i would rather spend on her while she is alive rather than spend on her when she is dead. Hehe.

Jamma Masjid in Kashmir is another lovely masjid. We are not allowed to take pictures of the interior. It is believed to have one strand of Nabi Muhammad's (saw) beard in it but only open to public on his (saw) birthday and his (saw) sahabats birthdays.

House boat was a great experience. We stayed at King Rose houseboat. The butler was nice, his helper was nice too.. actually the pple at the houseboats are all nice. They make us feel at home and we are like a family more than as guests and butler.

We call the butler Mamu (uncle in hindi???). Mamu will prepare fire everytime we set foot in the house, then prepare the fire in the room at 6pm in the rooms and also at 4am in the morning just so we will feel warm thru out our sleep. I don't know if he ever sleeps at all. Haha.

He will also prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for us without fail. But one thing about him is that, he is very fierce and will not let us go out at night after the sun sets. Instead of going out for shopping, the pple who is selling stuff will come to our house to sell their stuff to us at the comfort of our living room sofa and the warmth of the heater. We felt like Maharajas n Maharanis. Haha. My wife loves that term. Especially RajPut!!! Aisyah love Mughal. And Liza loves TATA.

At the end of the stay in Kashmir, it was very very emotional. I felt sad too but i can control my tears. There was one guy who rows our shikara/boat, his name is Mohamad Ismail aka Tok Et (Tok Et is my wife's granduncle from Jambi.. this Mohamad Ismail looks like Tok Et apparently).

I like him so much.. everytime we reach the pier, he will wave at us and want us to take his shikara. I don't know why he loves us so much. Not like as if we are thin and let him row easier. But he is the nicest person and has the most humble smile i've ever seen in my life, down to earth and happy.

I can see it in his eyes that he is very poor and weak but he appears to be strong and have a warm smile with a positive attitude. Imagine rowing a boat for 1 and the half hours to work, and end of the day also another 1 and half hours.

To me it will be a hassle but for him, it is something he loves to do. I envy him for his strength and perseverance and also his humbleness. If there is something i could do to make his life better, i would really do it just so he will have a better life and rest at home at that age.

All in all the trip was great. Pictures will be uploaded soon, once we get the memory card from Aisyah. My wife will also update about Gulmarg (the snow mountain) and also shopping in Delhi.
