So last night we went out on a superfast date to get for our darling baby his birthday present. His birthday actually falls this Friday, but we will be busy for the next few nights, therefore we had to do a fast one last night.

We wanted to get for him some toys for his room, and since he has shown MUCH LOVE for those little tikes toys when we were at Toys'r Us, we thought of getting him something little tikes-ish. Turns out the houses cost around $500, and the playground with slides around $300.

Before we go on, I just want to share this Thomas & Friends room set with you all.

That is a GREAT present for a Thomas & Friends fanatic kan! Hahaha.

Anyway, we couldn't decide what to get for Hyder. To be honest, the India trip has wiped out abit of our savings, and then this housewarming too, so our budget for his present had to decrease alot. Hahah. And since most of the little tikes stuff were around $299 and above, it was quite difficult to choose ah honestly. Haha.

So we ended up with 2 toys -

1) Grow'n Up Slide
2) Little Tikes Basketball Hoop

He opened the first one last night, and HAD SO MUCH FUN ON IT. Went up and down and up and down and up and down and up and down NUMEROUS TIMES, and then showed us where to put it nicely in his room, and then danced on the slide (and then he fell off the steps, nicely into his baba's arms, thank gawd)

We managed to coax him to sleep after like an hour on that slide, and then he saw Present No.2 and collapsed into a ball of sobbing mess on the box, wanting to open it.

But we are the parents, not him, so haha, he has to wait til Friday!

His room is mostly done up for this Friday's housewarming. We just need to do some general cleaning and LOTS of touchup ah.

Anyway, if anyone is wondering what to get for us for housewarming, here's a list, to make your life much easier.

1) A beanbag - you can get them from molecule at marina. We'll buy the beads ourselves if it's difficult for you to lug around.

2) A sideboard. HHAHAHAHA.

3) A camera. We usually use my parents' cameras, since we have the iphone and blackberry and the cameras on these phones are quite good. But a camera will come in handy whenever we go for holidays.

4) DVD sets of Friends / Despo Housewives / some other shows that we like (call us to ask, hehe) We want all seasons, but since that can make you bankrupt, we don't mind like just one season. Haha.

5) We REALLY like handmade carpets of any sizes :)

6) Some Islamic verses art-style. Khazaanah, next to Hjh Maimunah stocks up some really pretty ones :)

7) A white bookshelf, if you are super rajin to find for me.

8) Vouchers from Best Denki / Courts / Ikea.

9) Cash

And of course, doa for our happiness and health. Amin!

We are also doing a cake-cutting / sing happy birthday for my baby Hyder at around 6pm. So try to be there around that time if you can :)
