Delhi!

Exactly a month ago, we went off to India. Specifically, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Kashmir. 9 days. The best holiday EVER! Hehe.

It was the first proper holiday Hyder had with his grandparents and aunts, and it was the first proper holiday I had with them too after I got married. I mean, KL and whatever don't count lah.

I was SO excited like weeks before the actual departure, but was damn worried too. Do we have enough winter wear? Do we have enough luggage bags? Do we have enough of everything?

My colleague just got back from Kashmir 2 weeks before me, and she said she was SO cold she needed 2 longjohns suits, sweaters and etc etc. 2 layers of socks. Lots of moisturizer. That got me damn worried, what if Hyder doesn't have enough layers of clothings.

Temperature at Delhi at that time was around 15deg Celcius (daytime) and around 10deg Celcius (night).

Kashmir would be around 5deg at daytime, and 0deg or minus zero at night. Gulmarg (the ski mountain) would be around -10.

So I brought his whole entire wardrobe. Cakap tak bedek. One luggage bag was filled with his stuff - winterwear, clothes, pampers (one whole pack of 60), milk (3/4 can of Gain IQ) moisturizer, biscuits, and even 2 cup noodles, in case he hated Indian food.

We brought back half the bag un-used. Hahah. He LOVES indian food, and so did we. Naan is now probably my family's favourite food, together with the grilled chicken we ate at Kashmir. Hahaha.

So anyway we went to Delhi via Jet Airways - plane was small but inflight food was great (some briyani thing) and the aircrew were damn friendly. I daresay it's better than Emirates! The male stewards macam Bollywood actor lah!

Reached Delhi around 2am (India time - 2.5hours behind SG) Went to a few forts and monuments, Mahatma Gandhi's grave (which had a sprawling gorgeous garden) and then we went off to Agra, where the Taj Mahal is at. Journey took 5 hours.

Mahatma Gandhi's grave.

From what we could see at Delhi, it was wonderful. Noisy, colourful. It was so ALIVE. Sad at the same time because they had SO MANY beggars and homeless people (or rather, people who lived on the sidewalks? they were bathing and cooking out in the open by the roads) but it was also so cool - no structure, nothing. Haha.

They are actually shopping. There are "shops" in the midst of all these people.

Oh before I forget, the Lays (Indian Masala flavour) is so damn sedap. Wanted to buy some at the airport on the way back to SG, but they didn't sell them. And their Coke is somehow so damn gassy and sharp. SEDAPPPPP.

Taj Mahal was SO damn goregous. It was amazing to see it LIVE, we were all in awe. It was HUGE and the facts about Taj Mahal got us all very woahhhhhh like that. Haha. What on earth did she do, til her husband sayang her like that??!

Policeman with moustache quite cute actually. Haha.

At shoe shop at Jaipur. DAMN CHEAP and DAMN NICE!

We saw this Einstein EVERYWHERE. Cakap tak bedek! Cool kan dia, hehehe.

Hehehe, boyband pose.

Ok sorry not much captions and stuff. Hehe. I spent hours uploading these pictures here and on FB, and I think Husband already added captions for the pictures on FB, so have a look there. Add me if you aren't already my friend.

Kashmir pictures, soon. Kalau tak boleh sabar, head on to FB too :)
