When all was good.

We all have a place in our heads where we run to, when things get too tough to handle, or work gets too much, or you just need to ESCAPE for whatever reason.
Mine is going to these interior design blogs.
I remember when we first moved in to our house, someone said this - "your house is like those suria houses nya interior design" I can't remember who said that, but hoh my gawd that was such an insult. Have you seen suria nya interior design shows? Done usually by well known "interior design" firms in SG, they are atrocious.
I don't usually watch Suria, other than berita (HAHA), coz I think they are going in a bad direction (more about that in another lengthy post, at another time) but there was one time I watched one of those renovation shows, I was blown away. In a really bad way. Like, OMG gila ka mau rumah macam gini?
I don't mean to offend anyone, but it's just that I remember being really appalled when said visitor commented that, but after checking with some dear friends, they said NO, my house totally do not resemble those shows, so PHEW! Said visitor must have been either blind or jealous. I think blind, coz jealousy is a worse trait to have.
Having said all that, I just wanted to say that these interior design sites have such a calming effect on me. I can FEEEEEEL my brain going into "relek one korner" mode.
And they are the source of inspiration when I do up my house. I am totally inspired by desiretoinspire, by a life's design, by apartment therapy, by design*sponge. At the moment I still have not been able to do it up totally wonderfully like these wonderful sites do, but I would like to think I'm on the way there, Insha'Allah. hehe.
Tuesday I was on leave, and when Hyder was asleep, I pushed around the sideboard, sofa, tables, chest, paintings. Husband came home to a new decor. Haha. Now we just need more plants and flowers.
I'm not in a good mood today, or for the past few days. I get so easily irritated, or I have these annoying thoughts in my head, but no outlet to vent on.
I don't think it's PMS.
Maybe it's the weather.
To end on a good note - remember people, this Sunday is the blessed event of Maulidur Rasul at Masjid Sultan, 8.30am. Call 9191 9301 if you want a free ride to the masjid, organised by Ustaz Shafi.
