Penang, no go.
And so our Penang trip is cancelled. We bought the tickets waaaay early in January, for 99cents (per way, all taxes in!) for travel next week (12th to 15th May) but a series of events happened (or will happen) that is making the trip really difficult.
First off, Husband has a daytrip to KL on 15th May, so we looked for another batch of cheap airfare, so that we can come back on 14th instead. (Changing dates on Jetstar tickets costs $50 per person, and then you have to top up the difference in fares!)
So we found Tiger Airways, about SGD100 for all 3 of us, just for Penang to SG.
SO, Husband went to apply for leave.
It's not approved :( However he can take the week after, so now we are looking for other ideas. Maybe Genting, maybe
Changi Village hotel, haha. See how lah.
Genting is kindof cool ah, literally. Haha. It's SO hot here in SG.
I'm not sure if this holiday will actually happen, but who cares, I like planning for trips and looking for cheap deals. Only thing is, it's kindof hard to get cheap airfare at such short notice, and Bintan is out because it's so priced for S'poreans, and Batam is out because, bleah that place kindof sucks (refer to last trip report, haha)
If only we have gazillions of dollars, and can JET OFF TO ISTANBUL RIGHT NOW.
