It's becoming more common to read apologies here as a way of starting blog entries, because we have not been blogging as often as we like. But this time round it's not due to laziness, or lack of inspiration, or whatever crap we tell ourselves. This time round I have a real reason! Last week for THREE WHOLE DAYS I was at home! In bed! Not working! Sick!

For a moment (or many moments, to be honest - especially when I'm feeling super pukey) I thought I was pregnant, but no, Allah swt has not given us that special blessing for the 2nd time yet. Pray for us though, dear brothers and sisters in Islam!

Anyway, yes I was sick. Husband even took urgent leave just to take care of me and Hyder, and bring me to the clinic, and buy food, and do laundry. Spent $72 at the clinic for medication that didn't really heal, and now, one week on, I'm in the office, clearing my throat from time to time to make way for some breathing. Haha.

In the midst of all that fever (Hyder caught fever on Saturday morning, poor baby) we still found some time to bring Husband's parents to Swensens on Sunday night, for a belated Father's Day celebration. For my side, we already ate at Sofra the week before. Pictures are still with Haliza - she took like a million pictures but I haven't seen any online yet, so I can't steal them for your viewing pleasure.

My throat still feels like it needs to be sandpapered, because it FEELS rough, and nothing taste good. Despite all that, tonight I'm meeting up with my sisters and we going to have some Indian Rojak at S11 Tampines.

I want pempek from kedai Pak Chomot Nagoya Hill at Batam.

Nama kedai memang tak glam, but oh baby you gotta taste his pempek. Resto Surabaya have lots to improve on!!! Someone should give Pak Chomot a shop in Singapore! In fact, SG govt shd give him PR status! Kita tak makan Filipino nya balut per.
