Sentosa - 30/10/2010

My sister Aisyah was having her lunchtime when she saw toys for Hyder, for making sandcastles, and called me up. Asked me if I'm interested in going to Sentosa over the weekend, just to have a small picnic and enjoy the outdoors, haha.

I'm not a very outdoor person, in fact I hate being sweaty and all that, but I am seriously getting tired of shopping malls and .. what else, shopping malls. So I asked Husband, and he said ok, and so we all planned.

Sadly on 30/10/2010, it rained really heavily, complete with thunder and lightning. My sisters and Asif hang around at my house, watching Glee on DVD, while waiting for it to stop. Around 4pm it slowed down to a drizzle, and so we booked a maxicab, and went off.

I almost typed maxi pads. Haha.

Anyway. Once we reached Sentosa, rain has stopped, and we set up camp. Sky was still abit dark, but at least it wasn't scorching hot.

I love that the huts had hooks for us to hang our bags! There were a lot of ants though and the toilet was FAR FAR FAR away, and there weren't even any of those waterpoints (for us to wash feet etc) nearby. Sentosa should look into this.

I cooked macaroni goreng (which sadly wasn't as nice as our first trip to Sentosa), fried chicken nuggets, and Husband made egg mayo sandwiches. Bought 2 bottles of Peach Tea, and one mineral water. Lingam made the picnic complete, hehe.

It was completely fun! Husband, Asif and Haliza played frisbee, Hyder and Aisyah played with the sand. Hyder hated the sand at first - "Mummy! Ada gula in Hyder shoes!!!" (Haha, yes, he thought sand was gula.) Slowly though he got used to it, and ended up taking off his sandles, and kept playing with the sand nonstop til tak nak balik.

My husband super semangat.

The only activity I did there was playing monkey-frisbee, or whatever the game's called, and I was horribly bad at it, coz each time the frisbee came my way I would cover my ears instead, FOR FEAR OF BEING HIT. Haha.

So I mostly just sat and ate. I LOVE macaroni goreng so much, it doesn't matter if it's not as nice as I would like it to be. Haha.

Parents fetched us after that. Dinner at Seah Imm, and then home sweet home :)
