Mom's birthday at Gurame.

For my mom's birthday this year, my dad treated us at Gurame, their latest discovery. Haha. Ok, Gurame has been around since forever right, but their latest outlet was at this gorgeous place, with gorgeous scenery. Ok maybe not super gorgeous ah, but u know, this is SG, where got so many gorgeous places.

Anyway, my dad invited my grandmom and my cousins along, so it was quite a group there. It was also our first time eating at Gurame actually, I've always heard bad reviews about their restaurant at East Coast, so we've never bothered going.

But this one, with the view, makes it NOT feel like Gurame.

We reached there about 6pm, before sunset, while it was still light so that Hyder can go crazee looking at aeroplanes that were reaching Changi. That boy LOVES aeroplanes lah, and yep, aeroplanes and airports is the theme for his birthday party next year.

I think he got the love for travelling and aeroplanes from his mother, hehe.

Abg Aim & family reached about 30 minutes after we did. Saw a HUGE lizard on the breakwater (is that what it is called? those rocks at the edge, where people go fishing?)

Seriously huge, and seriously scary, because what if there were people fishing there?? Nak lari gi mana?? Ok, actually I'm not sure if these lizards eat hoomins humans, but you know .. it's really scary.

The view from Gurame was quite gorgeous, especially since there weren't a lot of people around. One thing, coz you need your own transport to come here, and another, maybe because it's still not well-known yet (the location, not Gurame itself)

It kindof reminded me of Jimbaran, Bali, because there were all these noisy planes, and we were next to the sea, eating seafood.

Speaking of Bali, my sister is on her way to Bali now, with my other cousins and aunts. I kirim fruit&nut biscuits, heh.

Ok suddenly rindu Bali. And holidays in general. Supposed to go Malacca over the Christmas weekend, but the hotels that we wanted were fully-booked, so Husband said let's just concentrate on the JKT trip in February, Insha'Allah.

The tahu telor doesn't look the usual kind we see, like at Sanur or Hjh Maimunah. I don't eat tahu telor, but from what everyone said, it doesn't taste that great.

However, the udang were tastehhhh. I only had one (I think) though, because Haliza wanted more, so I gave her mine. The sotong bakar was supersedap also, and the fish were very yummeh, and the chicken stuff (I forgot what exactly, hah) were also sooo sedapppp.

They also sell ondeh-ondeh, my current favourite kueh! Tapi macam tak worth ah, so expensive! Hahaha.

It got quite dark at night, but I guess that's for ambience? Haha. We asked for candles.

There's a place for solat also, you gotta ask the staff. Toilets were very clean and easy for taking wudhu.

Hyder kept asking to come back here again, so I guess it's really yummy. Haha. He had 2 plates of rice, which he ate himself.

We finished off with chendol.

Ok, now I want to go back there again ah.
