I had to work yesterday (yes, on a Sunday) and since Husband had lots of work to finish up too, he sent me to work and he went off to his office. Hyder followed me. After work, while waiting for Husband to fetch us, I brought Hyder to the building next door to look at water fountains first.
One Singh walked past us, he was quite well-dressed and all, maybe in his 60s, full white beard.
He suddenly stopped and mumbled something to me. I thought he wanted to ask for directions, so I asked him to repeat. Twice. Coz I didn't understand.
Then he repeated what he said, complete dengan 2 fingers pointing to his forehead, "you are a happy person, I can see here." (pointing to his forehead)
And he added "but you worry too much."
I laughed nervously, I didn't know what his deal was, I mean.. why is he telling me all this??
Then he went on, "Allah is good to you. Next month, you will get 3 happy things."
I just nodded while smiling, amused AND CONFUSED.
(and that rhymes!)
He went on (he's unstoppable now!) "The past Aidilfitri was good for you, wasn't it? Many good things happen to you. But... *add sorrowful look* 2 women very jealous of you."
I was like WOAH, now that's funky info! Who would be jealous of ME, of all people?? Haha.
So I asked him, who are the 2 women??
He said that's for me to find out. But oh yes they are jealous of me.
So happens that at that moment Husband drove up, and I told Mr.Singh I had to go, my husband is here. I grabbed Hyder's hands and went off. Mr.Singh was shouting "Hello Sir! You have good luck, next month 3 happy things happen to you!"
Mazreen also looked super confused lah, but smiled nonetheless, and waved somemore. Hahah.
I was very amused by the whole thing, and, I have to admit, I was kindof curious, who are the 2 ladies?? Hehe. Husband said I cannot believe such stuff, and most probably he just wanted money anyway.
Turns out he was right lah. Today he went for lunch with his colleagues at this place nearby his work bldg, and a Singh came up to him (why him kan? why not his colleagues, haha) and asked him a few questions. Apparently Husband didn't want to layan him, but that man went on and on or something, so he answered a few questions.
"What is your aim in life?"
"To have a happy family" (awwww, a bit sweet ah this one, haha)
"Where is the place you most want to go?"
"Tarim"
And 2 other questions but I can't remember now what they are. So these answers somehow appeared on a piece of paper that
his Mr.Singh was holding... and since Mr.Singh was right, he wanted some money. Husband gave him $2, Mr.Singh wanted more, but Husband refused. Haha. Then Mr.Singh told him 3 good things will happen to him this month. Hahah. That's like the standard prediction agak.
I kindof feel bad I didn't give the man yesterday any cash, dia pon da tua jugak.
Actually thinking about it, no, I shdn't give money ah, I didn't ask him to tell me stuff I already know. I mean, I am generally a happy person, I rarely get sad or depressed coz I tend to look more on the bright side of things, Alhamdulillah for that, and I worry too much? Any parent would! Sorry, make that : any working parent in Singapore would!
So I think these guys are going around Raffles Place looking for people to predict futures and all that. If you are one of those who got approached, tell me ok when you are getting your 3 good things. Heheh.
