So the last entry was in March, and so much has happened since then! Things have been really crazy, especially in April when my dad suddenly got a heart attack, and then had to go for bypass, and everything in our life just took a backseat, while we spent nearly a month at SGH.

That was quite a difficult time lah, and I don't think I'll ever get over the image of my dad in ICU hooked up to so many tubes and stuff. I remember thinking this cannot be my dad, I want my fierce scary funny dad back. The whole time he was in ICU, I only went in 2 times for about 5 minutes each, and even then, those 5 minutes would be spent looking at whatever the nurse has written on the charts (not that I could understand! haha) or looking around the whole place, but I couldn't look at my dad, because that would be when I start crying.

Ah well... even writing abt this makes me tear up again.

Anyway, soon after my dad was ok and discharged, Aisyah had her birthday party at NSRCC, which was booked waaay in advance (I think weeks after Hyder's party at Aloha) They talked about cancelling it, because my dad was still kindof weak, but kindof wasted lah since they already paid in full I think for it.

So we went ahead with the party, and guess what, during the birthday chalet week, my dad came down with chickenpox! So kecoh ok. But the celebration went quite well, it was fun, although I was not feeling well that weekend too.



NSRCC is a good place to hold ur kid's birthday party if you need a really huge space. Something like Aloha but more updated look lah, haha.



The cake. Simple but yummmeh. I think ALL cakes must now have M&Ms on them.



Birthday girl hitting the pinata! It was a surprise gift from us, haha, coz she wanted one for her birthday but no time to buy.



Hyder hitting the pinata. Didn't cover his eyes, tapi he still didn't manage to hit it. Hahaha. Cute sangat lah.

Tried to photobomb, but failed badly because everyone was looking and I couldn't tahan laughing. Soon after they realised and pushed me out of the picture. Grrr.



Opening presents! In my family, we usually open presents before everyone goes home so everyone goes "WAHHHH" damn loud. Hahah.



Played bunga api after that. I think these things damn pretty lah but I get kindof scared sometimes.



We didn't sleep over at the chalet. Instead, we went back late, and came over again early in the morning and went swimming. Or rather, Maj and the kids did, while I just sat and ate (and took some pictures of them)

The weekend after that, we went to JB for a buffet dinner, to celebrate Aisyah's birthday (AGAIN) and also my parents' wedding anniversary.



I don't really like PanPac buffet dinner, but Hyatt is worse lah, and I don't know of any other places with cheap buffet dinners. Singapore hotels nya sometimes feel very heartpain lah, soooo expensive. How much food can you actually stuff in kan. Haha.

In July we found out some wonderful news, and Husband wanted to treat us to a short trip, and so we booked a room at Berjaya KL, but TERIMA KASIH TO BERSIH and their stupid riots, our trip was cancelled after both sides parents refused to let us go. Haha.

So we booked a night stay at Changi Village Hotel for a staycation again coz Hyder LOVES that hotel so much, keeps asking for the rooftop pool where he can swim while looking at aeroplanes.

Didn't take any nice pictures for this staycation, coz macam dah selalu pergi liddat. Hahah.
