Last night.
Hyder sometimes sleeps with us on our bed. Last night he joined us, Husband put him on the right side, which is next to the wall, but there's a small gap but we covered it up with lots of pillows. I'm on the left (because it's the nearest to the toilet, haha) and Husband slept in the middle.
I and Husband slept quite late last night, accompanying Husband while he read a book, but I was dozing on off a bit lah actually. Eventually I fell asleep, I don't know what time it was by then.
Then suddenly a very clear voice rang out. "Mummee?"
Terkejut seminit, but ok lah, he sometimes talks in his sleep, so I just entertain sometimes. Still cannot beat that time when he said while sleeping, "WAH! APA NI??" and Husband, who was asleep too, can sambut balik, "Apa?? Apa dia? Mana?? Kenapa???" and I was both in awe by these two, what on earth is happening here. Told them both they are sleeptalking and shhhh them to sleep. THEM ok, not just Hyder. Hahaha.
So anyway, last night, I replied - "Yes, baby?"
"You come here, please," went Hyder, in a totally calm voice.
"Go where, sayang?"
"Here. You tengok I. I want to show you something."
I sat up, and his space was empty! I looked around, and saw him sitting, stuck in between the bed and the wall, and I immediately jumped up, and switched on the lights, and screamed "BABA!! HYDER IS STUCK! HE FELL OFF THE BED! HELP!!" and Husband immediately sat up too, and by then Hyder was crying and going "Help me! Help me!" , I think he was shocked by the fact that falling off a bed is, you know, actually bad, that he cried too. Had to pull out the bed away from the wall a bit, Husband carried him up, and hugged him, and then put him in the middle so we can both hug and calm him down, and I switched off the lights and he snuggled against me, hiccuping. Kesian sangat.
Now, I'm wondering - how on earth did he get to that space? What was he trying to show me?? This is so misteri jam 12 (ok, no. let's not get there, too scary.) or could it be just him advancing from sleep talking, to sleep.. moving, or sleepsqueezing into tiny spaces. Goodness.
