Gems from Hyder.
Last night Husband read Eric Carle's 10 Rubber Ducks to Hyder before bedtime. One of the sentences in the book went something like "the rubber ducks fell into the wide sea" , and the picture was showing the ducks and the sea, which is of course blue.
Hyder went, "Baba, it's not white (wide) sea. It's blue sea."
Husband said, "no, it's wide, as in huge and enormous. Not white as in the colour."
Hyder - "Okay. But you said white."
Husband - "Ok, it's actually wide (emphasis on the D), not white." (Husband did proper pronounciation and all)
Hyder, looking super confused, went "why is the sea wided??"
Haha, by now Husband was trying to control his laughter, so I helped him out by telling him to substitute all "wide" with "huge" , til he understands more about spelling. Haha.

Hyder, when asked why he doesn't like this boy in his class - "Dia ada banyak sangat hingus!"
Grrr. So judgemental kan! (although we know which parent he follows here, HAHA)
