Every single day, my husband would fetch me downstairs at 6pm, and then we would drive on to my parents' place to pick the kids up, dinner there. Sometimes we would solat maghrib at my parents' house, sometimes we hurry the kids (by this I mean Hyder) and we solat at home. Usually we will reach home around 7.30pm.
Once we reach home, I will let Sufia crawl around for a while, while I load the washing machine, Husband will check Hyder's school file to see if there is any homework or notes from his teachers, and then he will feed Hyder his dinner, while I put Sufia to sleep.
Sufia usually sleeps around 8pm, or 9pm latest, unless we have guests or we are out.
Hyder usually sleeps around 9pm, latest 10pm on a school night. There have been nights where he will sleep extra late, like 11.30pm (so far that's the latest, and it got me really stressed, because he will have SO MUCH difficulty waking up in the morning!)
After Hyder is done eating dinner, Husband will read to him, or he plays with his toys, or he will watch a bit of TV, and then I will ask him to go to bed.
Once the kids are asleep, I will hang the laundry. Sometimes I fall asleep while putting the kids to sleep, and Husband helps me hang them. And then he will wake me up for solat isya'.
After I hang laundry, I will either join him watch TV or I will read. He will make a cup of coffee, lately it's all some Nespresso thingy thanks to the gift from Mama&Bapak, and we both have some quiet relaxing time.
We will usually be in bed around 11pm.
That's our daily routine. Sometimes it feels so relaxing, sometimes it feels so hectic, but on hindsight I feel like that's what we do almost every night.
And on hindsight, this is a blessing. Normality and routine in our daily life, something that we really should not take for granted. It means that the boat is not rocked, everyone is safe and doing what they need to do. SubhanAllah, & Alhamdulillah.

strangely i actually thought about what you do every night after work cos you're seldom on twitter/ instag at night.. this answers it. perfect life. <3<3<3

haha! what are ur nights like then? I only go to IG or twitter once im in bed. With the kids around, its too hard, everyone wants attention all at once. Grrrr.
