update on 17 April 2013 - Just found out Barcelos is no longer halal due to change of management! SOOOO ANGRY WHERE AM I GONNA GET YUMMEH WRAPS NOWWWW

We ate a lot of kebabs when we were at Korea and Australia, maybe because there aren't a lot of halal food that weren't kebabs - it seems like only Turkish and Indian people are brave enough to venture to foreign land and start businesses selling halal food. Haha.
Anyway. Eversince we came back, I have sudden cravings for kebabs once in a while, and it's sad because in SG there aren't really many affordable kebab shops... at least none that I know of. The husband has once accompanied me to Arab St when I had one of those cravings, and mst of the turkish shops sold kebabs at at least $6, which is really expensive compared to mr.kebab at Korea (only $3!) We ended up at one place where the total cost was so expensive when it was just the 2 of us, and the kebab didn't taste like the kebabs I ate at korea, australia or even Istanbul... really cannot make it lah.
So anyway. One day we ventured to Barcelos at Vivocity. I tried the chicken wrap and Husband had beef with sweet chilli wrap.
It was SO sedap. It was the closest taste to the ones I had at wherever, and it was just really so yummeh I can't even... haha!
Husband didn't really like it though, so I went again on my own, SANGGUP k. Had the same thing again. STILL SEDAP.
Last Monday we went again, and I'm still a satisfied customer. Their fries are also good, their sauces (I like supa peri and the tangy lime or something) are the best, and their chicken wrap is still fabulous. FABULOUS said the way Kimora says it ok, hah!
Sadly their staff are very rude, except for one lady who is a bit on-off. Sometimes she's nice, sometimes she's rude, I dunno why, but when she's nice she's really nice. When she's rude, she's just being a regular Barcelos staff, haha!
However, who cares abt their staff right, when you are there for the food. (I did lah actually, on my first trip there, I told Husband I'm never coming back again! This was of course said BEFORE I tasted my chicken wrap... coz I did go back again and again, hah!)
Also, they don't serve any ice with your drinks, and a can of coke will set you back $3, which is a bit overcharged considering you have to order at counter and such, macam at fast-food like that ... In fact the chicken wrap (comes with a side of fries or rice etc) is $11, I think, excluding drinks ... to the Husband that's overcharging. Actually to me it is overcharged lah, but hey when I eat the wrap I feel transported to all my holiday destinations at once, so it's quite worth it.
