On the way to work this morning, we were discussing holiday destination options.  I like to do this occasionally, when funds are low (haha!) because it allows me to fantasize that we are really planning on going for a holiday, when actually we aren't.

(that sentence felt long.)

So I asked the Husband.

He said Penang.  He's been wanting to go since forever to visit Habib Nuh's brother's maqam.

He asked me where would I like to go.

And I couldn't decide! I was like Penang, hmmm kway teow goreng.  Like, the true authentic one.  Bali would be nice too, ada sotong bakar.

And then both he and I realised that my options are STILL all about food.  Haha!

This has actually been blogged about before, by him.  He said all my holiday destination wishlist is based on food, depending on what my current craving is.  And I have to say, LUCKY HIM!  He won't have to worry that I wanna go US (to eat hotdog HAHA geddit!)  or like, Iceland or something.

I asked him just now, how do people usually choose their destinations then??

He said scenery maybe?  I told him scenery is over-rated.  To be fair though, I wanted to go Maldives for my hornymoon, but he said the scenery at Maldives will be the same as the scenery as Bintan, for what waste money, haha.  So I eliminated scenery as a deciding factor in the beginning of my marriage, all thanks to him!

Then he said, culture.  I told him mehhh culture.  I'm not a cultured / cultural sort of person, hahaha.  I guess I do appreciate other people's culture, but only in the abstract, I'm not like going to delve deep and find out the whys and the whatever.  I'm never ever going to be able to be an anthropologist huh.  Haha.

When we were at Seoul, at one of the museums the guide was explaning to us about the death rituals - when a person dies, the remaining family have to serve "food" to him / her for a year.  And he was explaining and demonstrating, like this is how you serve and this is how you sit, and all I could say at the end of the whole thing was ".... oh that's cool!"

I'm sure a more cultured / cleverer person would have something better to say, or some questions to ask.

Ok, feeling quite embarassed now thinking about it.  Hahah!

Come to think of it, I also don't like themeparks because I'm not a thrill-seeker sort of person.  I had fun at Dreamworld though, even though I nearly passed out taking Tower of Terror II.  Hahahahaha.

I think I'm quite a boring person lah huh.

I do want to go HK Disneyland though, I think my kids would love it, plus it seems like everyone has been.  I wanna go Istanbul again, I fell in love with everything there (maybe because we did hornymoon there afterall).  I wanna go Marrakesh!  Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous (based on what I see on TLC lah, haha)  I wanna go ... hmmm .. London & Cornwall & Bath!  I read too many Jill Mansell chick lits, haha.  I wanna go to Madinah, please Ya Allah, I really do, I miss that place so much, but I sometimes think the state of me now, is not good enough to go visit our Nabi (saw).  I gotta improve so much, Insha'Allah I will!

I wanna go Seoul again too, sadly because I miss cheap kebabs, but also because I wanna walk walk and see if I can see any of the 1night2days stars!  Hahaha!  Taewoong!  Sikyung!

I still wanna go Maldives, when I'm old and wrinkly and my kids are all grown up.  Insha'Allah kalau panjang umur murah rezeki and jodoh masih dgn suami tersayang.  Amin!

First now, we gotta work hard so we will have the mooooolahhhhhh oh yeah.
