One of my favouritest websites now is Humans of New York.  I don't always log on the web nowadays, but when I do, this is the first website I go to.  Not because I like NY or anything, I don't feel anything towards it, but because some of the pictures and captions are just so sweet. 




I have quite a number of favourites - the one above by the Indian man is one of them.  "If you want to escape materialism, quit being materialistic."

It's so true, and it's so stupid of me to only realise it now.  Haha seriously.  I was discussing with the husband how come I raked up credit card bills of more than 2k, and needing him to pay for me, like seriously what on earth did I buy?!?! 

And strangely last month I put myself on a tight leash, no more buying anything that I don't need, and guess what I didn't even use my credit card at all, and hey ho I realised it's as easy as not remembering you have a credit card in the first place.  Or even an ATM card.  For the past week I've been only spending the cash in my wallet, and I still have some notes left, so Alhamdulillah for that! 

I never knew I can be good at saving money.  Or at least, not spending money!  Haha!
