Hyder has been watching Monster Fishing (or Monster Fishes??) on TV with Baba, and so fishing is his latest fascination. Today he asked us to bring him fishing ... and so we brought him to East Coast for longkang fishing.
He was a bit upset, "Mummy why all the fish so small? I want mcm on TV, big and difficult to catch."
He got his wish, really, because goodness meeee, punyalah susah to catch those tiny fishies! When he failed a couple of times, I pon aksyen lah, I told him come here pass me the net, here's how you do it.
So embarassing eh, 5 minutes later I still haven't caught a single one, hahahahah.
So he took off his shoes, rolled up his pants, and waded in. Soon after he was so immersed in what he was doing that he forgot our instructions - NO SITTING in the water!! His pants and tshirt got wet, and we didn't bring extra clothes, sigh.
Sufia didn't really understand fishing, obviously. She kept offering her pacifier to the fishes, so cute lah, hahaha. So I brought her to the playground right next to it. She loves slides, and I love how she has the biggest grin on her face whenever she slides down :)
Would we go again? Maybe not so soon - $15/hr + $3 for a small tank, mcm not worth it lah. Plus the owner was a bit stuck up, and I don't like that. However they have lots of fans and seats around, so you can get comfy while waiting for your kids. Plus KFC is nearby, and I love KFC, so ... this place is quite a win lah actually.
At the end of the one hour, we got 8 fish (fishes?) and brought them home. Hyder asked me when can we fry them -___-
